Hi. I'm Joel Humlén, a Stockholm-based film composer, songwriter, and music producer who creates music that’s all about emotion — no matter the style, no matter the project.
I have composed
scores
for short films featuring
The Pianist’s Emilia Fox and
Kingsman: The Secret Service’s Hanna Alström, and in 2023, I scored my first feature film,
Made in Dublin.
My compositions have won six international
awards, including
Best Original Score of the Year
at the Independent Shorts Awards (LA). I also composed
bespoke pieces
for the black comedy
Kill Your Friends
(starring Nicholas Hoult and James Corden) and the acclaimed French drama
Girlhood.
I have worked with multi-platinum-selling
artists, including Thomas Stenström (Slå mig hårt i ansiktet), Zara Larsson and Zucchero. My longtime creative partnership with Frida Sundemo has led to
placements
in
Grey’s Anatomy,
Scream Queens, and Netflix’s
Let Go. I've also created
music and sound design
for brands like
Save the Children,
Johnson & Johnson,
JCB,
KLM, and
Sony Xperia.
